I’m home in NYC between festivals and enjoying 20’ of snow! Taking the opportunity to share some exciting news on films I’ve produced - 

LANDSCAPES OF MEMORY premiering at True/False

Leah Galant’s powerful, intimate feature documentary LANDSCAPES OF MEMORY will have its World Premiere at True/False Film Festival on March 6th. 

Interweaving the stories of a Holocaust-survivor descendant, a Nazi descendant historian, Palestinian artists in exile, and the filmmakers’ own reckoning with her familial trauma, LANDSCAPES OF MEMORY explores Holocaust remembrance and the uses and abuses of memory culture in contemporary Germany before and after October 7th.

I’m so honored to have been part of this film’s journey with Leah and our team - it’s been an illuminating and reflective experience through contemporary Holocaust memory and the global ripple effects of the Gaza genocide. I really look forward to sharing it with audiences around the world.

BARBARA FOREVER wins key awards at Sundance and Berlinale

Brydie O'Connor’s kaleidoscopic, archival portrait of pioneering queer filmmaker Barbara Hammer recently world premiered at Sundance and international premiered at Berlinale, winning key awards at both festivals! 

At Sundance, the film and our editor Matt Hixon won the Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award. In their statement, the jury said “Drawing on an artist’s deep archive of original work and forming exquisite connections between history and biography, art and life, this intimate and expansive portrait gives a pioneering figure in queer experimental filmmaking her rightful due.”

At Berlinale, the film won the prestigious queer film honor, the Teddy Award, for Best Documentary/Essay Film. 

We are so honored to receive these incredible awards, which recognize the artistry and cultural importance of BARBARA FOREVER. In her acceptance speech for the Teddy, director Brydie O’Connor highlighted Barbara Hammer’s own past Teddy wins, and the beautiful legacy that this film, and this award, honors. 

BARBARA FOREVER’s festival run continues with some amazing upcoming fests, including -

TIME AND WATER premieres at Sundance, heading to SXSW, CPH:DOX and beyond!

Sara Dosa’s TIME AND WATER, which utilizes the family archives of Icelandic poet Andri Snaer Magnason to tell a story of grief and memory on the personal and planetary scales, had its stunning world premiere at Sundance. 

The film was met with incredible critical reception, earning a Critics Pick from Indiewire and The Film Stage. Next, the film is on to festivals around the world, including - 

True/False - March 6-9
SXSW - March 12, 14
CPH:DOX - March 16, 18, 19, 22
